The Director of the award-winning Northeast Jones High School Show Choir, "Gold Horizons", Angie couples a talent and love for music with her love for Christ as she leads our worship and Sanctuary Choir. Kade joined our team in February of 2020. and has a passion to see young people find Christ and live godly lives. Kade is also leading our focus on spiritual growth and discipleship, organizing and developing opportunities for people to become growing followers of Jesus Christ.  He loves the outdoors (especially hunting and fishing) and he and his wife Daryn are proud to call Jones County home. Tyler joined our team in 2022, and will be focusing on pastoring our growing group of Middle School students here at Mt. Vernon. A graduate of Northeast Jones High School in 2019, Tyler is also a graduate of William Carey University.  Tyler is teacher at North East Elementary and baseball coach at North East Middle School.  He enjoys watching and talking football, reading, and fishing.

Michelle brings her deep love for children to her role as the leader of our Children's Ministry.  A graduate of Jones College, she is a Registered Nurse and works part-time at Forrest General Hospital in Labor and Delivery.  Originally from Tennessee, she loves Tennessee Volunteers football and spending time with her family—husband Davy, sons Carter and Ross, and daughter, Danielle. Every Sunday, Kelsey and her team greet parents and little ones with a smile, providing a loving space for care and learning!  Yes, we start teaching our little ones from the beginning about God's love in Jesus Christ!  Kelsey has been an outstanding educator in our Jones County Schools for years, and is now a Principal at North East Jones High School.  She and her husband Josh are the parents of two girls, Alivia and Ainsley.

As Pastor Davy's assistant, Normandie also works in our office with bookkeeping, and keeping all our details moving in the right direction.  Normandie and her husband Josh have three children:  Zach, Blakely, and Grayson.  Normandie is a graduate of Mississippi State. Amber has been an educator in Jones County for many years, and brings that experience to the leadership of our Daycare ministry, Kids’ Kingdom Learning Center.  She has been married to Josh for 13 years, and together they have 4 children: Noah, Brady, Charlee, and Ella Rose.

Alan Stroud has been in ministry for many years, and brings that experience to the role of helping us encourage and love people in our church family and our community.  Alan loves reading, riding his bike, and building relationships with others to help them grow in their spiritual journey with Jesus. Miranda is a Registered Nurse, and brings creativity and energy to MVC Kids as the Assistant Ministry Director.  She also coordinates our social media outreaches, helping us share the good news of Jesus with others through our digital platforms. 

Bruce and his family have been members at Mt. Vernon for over 25 years, and has a love for Christ and His people.  Our deacons help us serve our church family through practical helps and gifts, while also helping us serve the needs of our local community.
